For your reading pleasure, here's a poem by Melanie Vail
We walk into the room
with a smile on our face,
we look around with hope
trying to remember the place.
We see the big words
posted on the wall,
our scores written upon it
naming us all.
By singing to the flag
we show our pride,
we pray for guardian angels
to not let us slide.
They're stacked up
all tall and clean,
after each placement i say,
"this one belongs to me."
